EXPRESS reporter Joannah Bharose receives one of the three journalism awards from Health Minister Colm Imbert at the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) tenth annual National Media Awards for Excellence in Health Journalism, held at Cascadia Hotel, St. Ann’s, on Monday night. Bharose won awards for Best Communication/Mass Media Campaign in Health for her piece entitled “Contraceptives and Vasectomy”; Best Health Page for “Flabby to Fabulous”. She also copped the UNDP award. Baharos has now won a total of eight PAHO media awards, and last year also copped PAHO’s Most Outstanding Journalist prize.
